Doha, October 30 (QNA) - Teen Hub, an innovative initiative by Qatar Museums (QM), on Thursday announced the launch of Youth Fest 2025, Qatar's first youth-led urban sustainability festival as part of Qatar Sustainability Week, organized by Qatar Foundation's Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future.

Taking place at the Teen Hub in Al Bidda Park from 1-8 November 2025, Youth Fest 2025 aims to empower young people to take the lead in shaping a sustainable future. Over eight days Teen Hub and Al Bidda Park will be transformed into a vibrant space celebrating creativity, innovation, and environmental awareness.

The opening and closing weekends on 1 and 8 November will unite the community through live youth performances, street food experiences featuring plant-based menus and eco-friendly packaging, and a youth bazaar showcasing sustainable products by young artisans and start-ups.

From 2 - 6 November, Teen Hub will host a series of hands-on workshops and sessions designed to inspire young people to integrate sustainability into their daily lives. Workshops will explore topics including composting and waste reduction, upcycled art, mindful self-care, product design, and sustainable cooking using local ingredients.

By engaging the next generation of changemakers, Youth Fest 2025 underscores Qatar Museums' commitment to fostering environmental awareness and empowering youth to drive positive change across the community.

Commenting on the unique occasion, Director of Teen Hub, Abdulrahman Al Ishaq said: "The inaugural edition of Youth Fest represents the spirit of Qatar's youth; creative, passionate, and determined to make a difference. Through this festival, we are giving young people the platform and tools to turn their ideas into action and lead the change toward a more sustainable future. It is a celebration of their voice, their vision, and their power to shape the world they want to live in. We invite everyone to be part of this one-of-a-kind experience to empower the future generation to make an impactful difference."

In collaboration with Qatar Museums' entities and community partners, the festival will feature a range of special activations open to the public, including the Qatar Auto Museum will host creative workshops with Qatari artist Jaber Henzab, where participants can learn car design techniques and express their creativity by painting directly onto a car.

Executive Director of Earthna, Dr. Gonzalo Castro de la Mata emphasized the importance of engaging young people during QSW 2025, saying: "When young people are invited to take part in sustainability early on, they approach it with imagination and purpose. Their ideas remind us that building an equitable and resilient future begins with giving them space to lead today."

These initiatives, among several other engaging activities, underscore the collaborative spirit of Youth Fest 2025, which highlights Teen Hub's dedication to empowering young people, nurturing creativity, and promoting sustainability in alignment with Qatar's National Vision 2030. The festival reflects Qatar Museums' commitment to developing the next generation of cultural leaders and change-makers who will shape the nation's creative and sustainable future. (QNA)
