Ankara, August 03 (QNA) - Gen. Metin Gurak has been appointed Türkiye's new chief of General Staff, the Directorate of Communications at the Presidency of Türkiye said in a statement on Thursday.

Gurak replaces Yasar Guler, who was appointed as defense minister in the new government.

The Supreme Military Council also appointed Selcuk Bayraktaroglu as new Land Forces commander, and Gen. Ziya Cemal Kadioglu as new Air Forces commander. (QNA)
