Doha, July 29 (QNA) - Qatar's Cultural Village Foundation Katara has launched the fourth edition of the Teen Art Awards 2026 in partnership with Art Connects Foundation and the British Council.

Submissions will be accepted from August 1 to November 1, with winners to be honored at a ceremony on December 3 at Katara Drama Theater. The program includes an international open call, an educational program, a special project for teenagers with disabilities, a discussion session and digital showcases.

Katara Director-General Dr Khalid Al Sulaiti said the award reflects Katara's vision of culture as a responsibility and aims to provide young generations with a global platform to express their creativity. This year's theme, "Belonging", invites participants to explore identity, memory, culture and society through art while promoting diversity and dialogue.

British Council Qatar Director Dr Waseem Qutub said the initiative supports young people's creativity and provides a platform for emerging artists, educators and cultural institutions to engage in creative learning and cultural exchange.

Art Connects Foundation President and Teen Art Awards founder Daria Kalinina said the award is based on the belief that creativity begins early and that young artists need opportunities to showcase their work internationally. More than 60 countries

participated in the previous edition.

The international contemporary art prize is open free of charge to young artists aged 13 to 17 worldwide, aiming to support emerging talent and encourage cultural dialogue through art. (QNA)
