Doha, June 29 (QNA) - The Ministry of Transport (MOT), in a circular issued Monday, called on all owners and users of marine vessels, including leisure boats, fishing boats, jet skis, and other similar marine craft, to temporarily stop sailing and carrying out maritime activities, effective from the date of issuance of the circular until further notice, in the interest of public safety.

The Ministry exempted vessels subject to international maritime conventions, which continue their operations in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.

MOT also urged everyone to fully comply with the circular, affirming that any updates will be announced in coordination with the competent authorities through official channels.

This temporary precautionary measure comes based on coordination with the relevant security authorities. (QNA)
