New York, September 28 (QNA) - Doha Forum concluded a week of high-level engagements in Washington, D.C. and New York, reaffirming its role as a leading global platform for diplomacy and dialogue ahead of its annual gathering in Doha this December.

Over the course of six events, Doha Forum partnered with prominent international organizations to address urgent global challenges ranging from regional security and peacebuilding to humanitarian response, sustainable development, and reforms in global governance.

The events started with the Atlantic Council Panel and Reception in Washington, D.C., where Doha Forum and the Atlantic Council co-hosted a panel discussion at the Embassy of the State of Qatar on "Hedging Bets in the Gulf: Balancing Iran, the U.S., and China's Ambitions". Senior policymakers, academics, and regional experts discussed how Gulf states are recalibrating strategies in response to evolving security concerns, shifting energy dynamics, and intensifying global competition.

At Concordia Annual Summit in New York, and as a Lead Programming Partner, Doha Forum convened a one-to-one conversation with Advisor to the Prime Minister of Qatar and Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed Al Ansari.

The session explored Qatar's role in advancing peace and security through diplomatic initiatives, strategic alliances, and soft-power investments.

Foreign Policy hosted a live taping of its debate series Counterpoint, produced in partnership with Doha Forum. Moderated by Editor-in-Chief Ravi Agrawal, the discussion featured HE High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, who shared insights on Europe's role in navigating shifting global dynamics.

Also, Doha Forum participated in the Clinton Global Initiative, engaging with international leaders on innovative cross-sector approaches to humanitarian and development challenges.

In partnership with the Stimson Center, the International Peace Institute (IPI), and HBKU's Global Institute for Strategic Research, Doha Forum launched its flagship Future of International Cooperation Report 2025, under the theme Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress.

The report sets out practical recommendations across political-judicial, socioeconomic, and environmental domains to bridge divisions and strengthen inclusive governance.

In collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the UN, Doha Forum co-hosted a panel on Sept.26, on "Peace and Development: A Shared Path to Stability".

Opening remarks were delivered by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, who emphasized Qatar's enduring commitment to mediation, humanitarian response, and international development.

Reflecting on the US program, HE Executive Director of Doha Forum, Mubarak Ajlan Al Kuwari, said: "The United Nations General Assembly is a critical week for diplomacy and dialogue around the most pressing issues of our time. Doha Forum was honored to contribute to these conversations, working with partners to advance collective solutions at a moment when unity and cooperation are urgently needed".

General Manager of Doha Forum, Maha Al Kuwari, added: "By partnering with leading institutions, Doha Forum continues to convene diverse voices and perspectives. These dialogues highlight why cooperation and principled engagement are vital in navigating today's uncertain global environment”.

Doha Forum's 23rd edition will take place under the theme "Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress" on Dec. 6–7, 2025, in Doha, Qatar, followed by a partner-led day on Dec.8.

Doha Forum is a global platform for dialogue, bringing together world leaders, policymakers, business executives, civil society representatives, and thought leaders to exchange ideas and drive solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time. Guided by the values of integrity, inclusivity, and innovation, Doha Forum promotes open dialogue and diverse perspectives to foster mutual understanding and collective progress. (QNA)
