Kuwait, June 28 (QNA) - Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boodai met on Sunday with his UAE counterpart Sultan Al Jaber during his visit to Kuwait.

The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in both the industrial and economic sectors.

According to a statement from Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry, the meeting went over the significance of sustaining supply chains in the oil and industrial sectors, thereby helping maintain perpetual production operations in the wake of extraordinary conditions and learning from the lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical developments.

The two sides also discussed avenues for ensuring sustainable production in critical sectors, particularly in food and medicine, and worked to strengthen readiness to confront extraordinary crises and conditions that could potentially affect supply and production chains.

They likewise addressed joint coordination mechanisms to enhance production sustainability in critical sectors and ensure ample essential needs are in place to support industrial and economic security in both countries. (QNA)
