Mexico City, March 27 (QNA) - Jamaica advanced to the final of Path 1 in the intercontinental playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, after a 1–0 win over New Caledonia in the semifinals currently taking place in Mexico.

Bailey Cadamarteri scored Jamaica's only goal in the 18th minute, setting up a final clash next Tuesday against DR Congo for a place at the World Cup.

Jamaica qualified for the intercontinental playoffs after finishing among the two best runners-up across the three groups in the final round of the CONCACAF qualifiers.

The winner of the Jamaica–DR Congo match will join Group 11 of the World Cup group stage alongside Portugal, Uzbekistan, and Colombia. (QNA)
