IAEA: Local Ceasefire Secures Zaporizhzhia Power Line
Moscow, February 27 (QNA) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said a locally brokered ceasefire has taken effect to allow restoration of a 330-kV backup power line to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
In a statement on X, the agency said the truce was mediated to ensure safe repair work. IAEA teams are also supporting demining efforts around the facility to enable maintenance access.
Located on the left bank of the Dnipro River near the contested city of Enerhodar, the plant is Europe's largest nuclear facility, with six 1-gigawatt units. (QNA)
