Cairo, August 26 (QNA) - Egypt condemned the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the city of Ramallah and their targeting of Palestinian civilians, in a dangerous escalation of ongoing violations in the West Bank.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Israeli government's aggressive and extremist policies are the main factor destabilizing the region, due to its provocative actions, its rejection of, and its obstruction of all prospects for peace in the region. It reiterated its warning of the dangerous consequences of Israeli arrogance, which is heading toward expanding the scope of the conflict.

The ministry reiterated its call on all members of the international community to take the necessary measures to compel Israel, the occupying power, to respect international law and international humanitarian law and to cease its blatant violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. (QNA)
