New York, February 25 (QNA) - Major US stock indices closed higher on Wall Street on Wednesday.

The S&P 500 gained 56.52 points, or 0.82%, to settle at 6,946.59.

The Nasdaq Composite advanced 288.40 points, or 1.28%, to finish at 23,152.08.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 310.61 points, or 0.63%, to close at 49,485.11. (QNA)
