Kuwaiti Amiri Decree Reshuffles Cabinet

Kuwait, August 25 (QNA) - An Amiri decree was issued on Sunday that reshuffles the cabinet of HH Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

The decree changed the title of the following cabinet members: Abdulrahman Badah Al Mutairi, became Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs; Dr. Nora Khaled Al Mashaan, became Minister of Public Works; Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al Omar, became Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Mahmoud Abdulaziz Mahmoud Bushehri, became Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy; and Dr. Amthal Hadi Hayef Al Huwailah, became Minister of Social Affairs and Family and Childhood Affairs.

The decree, furthermore, appointed the following as new member of the cabinet: Khalifa Abdullah Dhahi Ajeel Al Askar, as Minister of Commerce and Industry; Abdullatif Hamed Hamad Al Meshari, as Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs; Dr. Nader Abdullah Mohammad Al Jallal, as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Education; Nora Suleiman Al Fassam, as Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs.

The Kuwaiti government was sworn in on May 15, and included 13 ministers. (QNA)
