Washington, July 25 (QNA) - SpaceX has launched Starship from the US state of Texas, successfully deploying 20 of the next generation of Starlink satellites into suborbital space for a brief period.
The launch was part of the company's 13th flight test, which aims to begin routine service by the end of this year.
The 20 Starlink V3 satellites carried aboard Starship briefly connected to SpaceX's existing network of approximately 10,000 satellites in orbit. They then followed Starship's planned suborbital trajectory back into Earth's atmosphere.
The flight featured a new version of Starship, considered central to the company's plans, which include expanding Starlink services, landing astronauts on the Moon for the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by 2028, and deploying thousands of satellites in orbit dedicated to artificial intelligence processing.
