4.1-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Turkiye's Gaziantep Province
Ankara, January 25 (QNA) - 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Nurdagi district of Gaziantep province in southern Turkiye on Saturday.
According to data released by Turkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the quake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter in Nurdagi district.
AFAD said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7.82 kilometers beneath the surface. No reports of casualties or material damage have been issued so far.
On Saturday, a separate earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude struck Sindirgi district of Balikesir province in western Turkiye.
Turkiye experienced a devastating earthquake on February 6, 2023, which claimed the lives of more than 50,000 people, injured thousands, and caused widespread destruction to infrastructure across several provinces. (QNA)
