Magnitude 5.77 Earthquake Strikes Northern Egypt
Cairo, April 24 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.77 on Richter scale struck north of the city of Marsa Matrouh in northern Egypt on Friday.
In a statement, Egypt's National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics said the quake occurred 412 kilometers north of the city at a depth of 26.85 kilometers.
The institute confirmed that no casualties or material damage have been reported. (QNA)
