HH the Amir Meets Pakistan's Prime Minister
Doha, February 24 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met on Tuesday at his office in Lusail Palace with HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who is visiting the country.
The meeting discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them across various fields, particularly in the areas of defense, economy, trade, investment and energy to strengthen the existing partnership and open up broader horizons for joint cooperation.
They also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, especially the latest regional and international developments, and the efforts made to enhance security and stability in the region.
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on various issues to support peace and enhance constructive cooperation at the bilateral and international levels.
The meeting was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, along with a number of senior officials.
On Pakistan's side, the meeting was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with a number of senior officials. (QNA)
