Brussels, September 23 (QNA) - European stock indexes opened higher on Wednesday, supported by a decline in energy prices, as Brent crude traded below USD 100 a barrel.

In the major European markets, France's CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rose 0.43 percent, while Germany's DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange climbed 0.21 percent.

In London, the UK's FTSE 100 index rose 0.40 percent, while Italy's MIB index on the Milan Stock Exchange recorded a 0.38 percent increase. (QNA)
