Ankara, April 23 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues in a telephone call with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

During the call, Erdogan pointed out that the war in the region has also begun to weaken Europe, and that failure to intervene with a peace-focused approach will lead to much greater damage as a result of the continuation of the conflict.

He stressed that Turkiye, as in the Iranian issue, is making efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war through negotiations and to reach a lasting peace. (QNA)
