Gold Rises as US Treasury Yields Ease
Singapore, September 22 (QNA) - Gold prices edged higher on Tuesday as US Treasury yields eased, while expectations of higher interest rates limited gains.
Spot gold gained 0.3% to $4,357.31 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery were up 0.3% to $4,395.00.
Yields on 10-year US Treasury bonds fell for the second consecutive session.
Among other metals, spot silver rose 0.7% to $66.48 per ounce, platinum gained 0.8% to $1,811.28 and palladium increased 0.7% at $1,309.78. (QNA)
