Doha, July 21 (QNA) - In partnership with Qatar National Bank (QNB), the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) announced the launch of the first set of E-payment services offered through an integrated E-payment gateway.

This development aims to simplify judicial procedures and enable parties to pay deposits and court fees digitally in a secure, fast, and easy manner.

Through this first set of court deposit development project, the SJC seeks to provide payment channels that support various types of cards and modern payment methods, such as MasterCard, Visa, Himyan cards, and Apple Pay, among others.

This will allow users to pay court fees, enforcement requests, and court deposits through Al Mahakem online portal and mobile application, as well as via mobile applications, ATMs, and QNB's electronic portal, which will be launched on Al Mahakem online portal in the next phase of the first launch.

These E-payment services will allow payments to be made on behalf of oneself or another party using Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX cards, in addition to local NAPS and Himyan cards, along with Apple Pay.

The new system offers smart payment options such as partial payments for specific cases, payment via SMS links, immediate notifications to users upon completion of financial transactions, and sharing financial reports with the relevant administration.

The SJC sees this move as a qualitative step toward achieving prompt justice by adopting digital means and facilitating litigation services, carried out in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 with regards to developing the digital infrastructure, enhancing government service efficiency, easing judicial ruling enforcement by requiring minimal time and effort, in addition to providing diverse payment channels and multiple access methods, thus, removing the need to visit the court only to make a payment, which is a top priority when developing the court deposit and court fee systems.
