Iraq and EU Discuss Enhancing Security Cooperation
Baghdad, June 22 (QNA) - Iraq's President Nizar Amidi met on Monday with the EU Civilian Operations Commander Stefano Tomat to discuss further security cooperation between both sides.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening coordination in security-related fields.
The Iraqi President stressed the significance of continuing coordination with the EU and further developing the partnership through the exchange of expertise and consultations, contributing to the promotion of regional security and stability.
For his part, Tomat reaffirmed the EU's commitment to supporting Iraq and expanding areas of cooperation, commending Baghdad's role in promoting security and stability across the region. (QNA)
