Moscow, February 22 (QNA)  The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Sunday that its air defense systems shot down 86 Ukrainian drones overnight over vaious regions.
In a statement, the ministry said that 29 drones were shot down over Belgorod, 14 over Saratov, 11 each over voronezh and Smolensk, nine over Bryansk, seven over Kursk, three over Kaluga, and one each over Crimea and Moscow.
This field escalation comes as the United States continues its diplomatic efforts, despite the latest round of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia failing to produce tangible results toward ending the war that began between them in February 2022. (QNA)
