Beirut, August 21 (QNA) - The Israeli entity renewed its artillery and air bombardment of southern Lebanon on Friday, coinciding with explosions and military movements in several towns.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli forces conducted a sweep of the town of Khiam using heavy and medium machine guns, while military vehicles moved within the town.
Also in Khiam, Israeli forces detonated a house in Jallahiya area, amidst continued military movements and machine-gun fire in several neighborhoods of the town.
Meanwhile, intermittent artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the town of Mayfadoun, near Zawtar al-Sharqiya, this morning. Israeli warplanes also launched airstrikes on the town of Mansouri, which witnessed a series of massive explosions last night, the sounds of which were heard in villages and towns across southern Lebanon.
At the same time, Israeli forces carried out explosions in the towns of Haddatha and Tayri in Bint Jbeil district.
Earlier last night, Israeli warplanes conducted mock raids over the city of Tyre and villages and towns in the district, accompanied by artillery shelling of the area.
Lebanon and the Israeli entity signed a framework agreement under US auspices that stipulates security arrangements and the redeployment of the Lebanese army in the south, as well as measures to rebuild the affected areas, revive the economy, and establish direct communication channels between the two sides.
