Lekhwiya Concludes First Phase of 2026 Training Program

Doha, May 21 (QNA) - The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) concluded the first phase of its 2026 training program at Zekreet Camp, in the presence of HE Lekhwiya Deputy Commander Staff Major General Mohammed Misfer Al Shahwani, along with senior military and security officials from across the country.

The ceremony marked the graduation of nine training courses organized by the Internal Security Force Training Institute, with the participation of 489 trainees from military and security entities in the country, as well as participants from sisterly countries.

The event also featured a joint final exercise simulating multiple security threats, aimed at enhancing operational readiness and rapid response capabilities.

The graduated courses included the foundational Lekhwiya Operations Course for officers, explosives handling, riot control for other ranks, urban combat operations, three foundational Lekhwiya Operations courses for other ranks, in addition to motorcade skills, joint patrols, and motorcycle training courses.

The training plan is designed to meet the needs of various Lekhwiya units and external entities, contributing to improved performance efficiency and strengthened personnel readiness in line with evolving security challenges. (QNA)
