OCA President Attends Opening Ceremony by JOC

Nagoya/Japan, September 20 (QNA) - HE President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, attended the reception hosted by the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), on the sidelines of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

The reception was also attended by the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Kirsty Coventry, in addition to several notable Olympic and sports figures and leaders from Asia and the rest of the world.

The function represented an opportunity to exchange visions and strengthen communication, as well as review methods of cooperation to best serve athletes and support sport development on continental and global levels.

It also reflected the spirit of closeness between people in the field and showcased the key role of sport in bringing people and cultures closer through dialogue. (QNA)
