US to Withdraw 5,000 Troops Stationed in Germany
Washington, May 02 (QNA) - The Pentagon announced today that the United States will withdraw 5,000 troops from its forces stationed in Germany as part of NATO.
United States Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs Sean Parnell said that the withdrawal would be complete within six to twelve months.
Trump had earlier this week threatened to reduce the number of US troops in Europe following an exchange with the Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, who had said on Monday that the Iranians were humiliating the United States in talks aimed at ending the two-month-long war. (QNA)
