Doha, October 19 (QNA) - Chairman of Qatar Chamber, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, announced that the Chamber will implement Cabinet Decision No. 19 for the year 2024 staring today. The decision stipulates a reduction in fees for some services provided by the Chamber. The new fees will take effect on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The Cabinet Decision was ratified by HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and published in the Official Gazette.

HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim expressed his confidence that the reduction in the Chamber's fees will help alleviate some of the financial burdens on Qatari companies, stimulate the establishment of new businesses, and encourage investment across various sectors.

According to the decision, the Chamber's annual membership fees for shareholding companies, holding companies, and foreign companies involved in contracts with the state will be QAR 5,000, reflecting a 50 percent reduction.

For limited liability companies, general partnership companies, simple partnership companies, joint venture companies, and partnerships limited by shares, the annual membership fees will be set at QAR 500, regardless of the company's capital or type of activity. (For each branch, a fee of 10 percent of the annual subscription fee is added upon renewal of the membership).

The fees for authentication and certification services are as follows: approval of a commercial invoice QAR 50, issuance of a certificate of origin QAR 50, issuance of a certificate to whom it may concern QAR 50, signature attestation QAR 50, each additional copy of any of these transactions QAR 50, and each duplicate copy QAR 10.

The decision also outlined the fees for the issuance of the ATA Carnet for one visit are set at QAR 1,000 for Chamber members and QAR 2,000 for non-members. For transit cases or visits to more than one country, the fees are QAR 100 per additional country for Chamber members and QAR 200per additional country for non-members. If multiple pages are required in the ATA Carnet, the fee is QAR 25 for each additional page for members and QAR 50 for each additional page for non-members. The fee for canceling the ATA Carnet is QAR 500. The fees for urgent issuance are as follows: within 24 hours QAR 500, within 48 hours QAR 400, and within 72 hours QAR 250.

According to the decision, the arbitration request fee will be 1/1000 (or 0.001 percent) of the dispute's value, with a minimum fee of QAR 2,000. (QNA)
