Doha, December 18 (QNA) - Qatar’s diplomatic, consular, and representative missions abroad celebrated the State’s National Day, which falls on Dec. 18 each year, in commemoration of the Founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani. The celebrations were marked by high-level official and public participation across various capitals and cities, reflecting Qatar’s distinguished relations with countries around the world.

Their Excellencies, heads of Qatar’s diplomatic, consular, and representative missions abroad, extended their highest congratulations and best wishes to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and to all the people of Qatar on this cherished occasion, which is being celebrated this year under the slogan "With You It Rises, From You It Awaits"

In statements marking this glorious occasion, Their Excellencies affirmed that celebrating National Day reinforces the values of loyalty and belonging, strengthens pride in national identity, and at the same time reflects the commitment of succeeding generations to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers, renewing the pledge to continue the journey of development, renaissance, and prosperity under the banner of wise leadership.

The heads of missions pointed to the notable successes achieved by Qatari diplomacy in a number of regional and international conflict files, stemming from the State of Qatar’s foreign policy based on the principle of promoting international peace and security through encouraging the peaceful resolution of disputes.

They also highlighted the close and evolving relations between the State of Qatar and sisterly and friendly countries across various diplomatic, commercial, economic, investment, cultural, and other fields. In this context, they noted the prominent global standing that Qatar has attained, thanks to its commitment to bilateral and multilateral cooperation on key global issues of concern to the international community, such as providing humanitarian and relief assistance, advancing sustainable development, addressing climate change, combating poverty, and countering terrorism.

The heads of Qatar’s diplomatic, consular, and representative missions abroad reaffirmed Qatar’s enduring commitment to strengthening cooperation with partners in order to consolidate security and stability at both the regional and international levels. (QNA)
