Doha, September 18 (QNA) - The Qatar Photography Center has rolled out a black-and-white photography exhibition that highlights and celebrates monochromatic art.

Monochrome runs for 10 days and explores the aesthetic power of light and shadow and the raw visual expression that transcends color.

The event celebrates how black-and-white photography can tell compelling stories and evoke deep emotions without color distraction.

Deputy Director of the Qatar Photography Center, Abdulaziz Al Kubaisi, said the event features a curated selection of works by professional photographers who capture human moments, urban scenes, and elements of nature using precise composition and contrast.

Al Kubaisi described the exhibition as a leading artistic platform and the Center’s first contribution to the 36th FIAP Biennial of international photography.

He announced that the Center earned third place among Arab countries in the competition - an achievement that reflects the high quality and creative excellence of Qatari photographers, as well as the Center's refined artistic vision.

He added that Monochrome is a profound visual experience that encourages audiences to immerse themselves in pure photographic expression and witness how images, stripped of color, can convey powerful and lasting messages. (QNA)
