Paris, March 18 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the fifth meeting of the Restricted Ad Hoc Consultative Committee on Haiti, affiliated with the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), which took place in Paris.

Representing the State of Qatar at the meeting was HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and its representative to the International Organization of La Francophonie.

The meeting addressed the situation in Haiti amid the worsening security and humanitarian crisis, as well as the developments in the transitional process, particularly in light of preparations for the elections scheduled for early 2026.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed the support that the OIF can provide to Haiti. (QNA)
