Kuwait Condemns Iranian Attacks on its Critical Infrastructure
Kuwait, July 17 (QNA) - Kuwait strongly condemned and denounced Iran's missile and drone attacks targeting civilian and vital facilities across its territory today.
In a statement, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks sparked fires and damaged several electricity substations and water desalination facilities.
The ministry also said that the attacks constitute a flagrant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, as well as a serious breach of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
It stressed that the continuation of such aggressive actions represents an extremely dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability and undermines efforts aimed at de-escalation and achieving peaceful solutions.
The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait's inherent right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and preserve its security and stability in accordance with international law. (QNA)
