Amman, May 17 (QNA) - Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Guo Wei, announced today the postponement of the second Arab-Chinese summit, which was scheduled to be held in Beijing in mid-June, due to the current situation and developments in the region.

Guo Wei stated at a press conference that Chinese-Arab relations are distinguished and witnessing development in various fields, and that a new date for the summit will be agreed upon later.

He pointed out that the circumstances are not favorable due to the current situation in the Middle East.

The First Arab-Chinese summit was held in December 2022 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and laid the foundations for a new phase in cooperation between the Arab states and the People's Republic of China. (QNA)
