Four Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon
Beirut, June 16 (QNA) - Israeli attacks continued on Tuesday on southern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of four people in airstrikes, despite the memorandum of understanding reached between the United States and Iran, which included an affirmation of a cessation of hostilities and de-escalation in the region, including Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation army escalated its attacks, targeting a vehicle in the town of Mayfadoun. It then shelled the area after residents gathered there, before targeting a second vehicle in the town.
A third vehicle was also targeted in the town of Shoukin, bringing the total number of attacks to three. According to initial reports, four people were killed and several others wounded.
In a related incident, the area surrounding Rihan in Jezzine was subjected to artillery shelling.
The death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,826, with 11,851 wounded. (QNA)
