New York, May 16 (QNA) - US stocks closed lower Friday, ending a strong week on a negative note.

The S&P's 500 index fell by 92.74 points, or 1.24 percent, to 7408.5 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index also fell by 410.077 points, or 1.54 percent, to 26,225.145 points. In turn, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by about 537.29 points, or 1.06 percent, to 49,526.17 points. (QNA)
