5.0-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Papua New Guinea
Port Moresby, September 15 (QNA) – A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck northwest of the city of Lae in Papua New Guinea Tuesday.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 119.8 kilometers and 69 kilometers northwest of the city.
Papua New Guinea lies within the Ring of Fire, a seismically and volcanically active region along the Pacific Ocean coastline. (QNA)
