European Stocks Open Mixed
Brussels, September 14 (QNA) - European shares were mixed on Monday, weighed down by another surge in oil prices and interest rates as investors await the US Federal Reserve’s meeting on Wednesday.
Market movements were subdued following calls from leading artificial intelligence executives for a slower pace of development, adding pressure on massive investments in data centers and the semiconductor industry.
Among major European markets, France’s CAC 40 fell 0.22%, while Germany’s DAX declined 0.10%.
In contrast, the UK’s FTSE 100 rose 0.53%, whereas Italy’s MIB dropped 0.48% to reach 52,262. (QNA)
