LoginOil Prices Rise Slightly Amid Ongoing Supply Concerns
Singapore, August 14 (QNA) - Oil prices rose slightly in Asian trading on Friday, driven by renewed concerns over crude supplies amid ongoing Middle East tensions.
Brent crude futures gained nine cents, or 0.1 percent, to reach $87.16 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose four cents to $81.29 a barrel.
Both benchmarks had dropped more than 2 percent in the previous session, relinquishing a portion of the gains registered during a six-session rally for Brent and a five-session surge for WTI. However, both remain on track for weekly gains of approximately 4 percent. (QNA)
