Brussels, April 14 (QNA) – European stock indices closed higher Tuesday, buoyed by hopes for a resumption of peace talks between the United States and Iran, despite the implementation of the US naval blockade on Iranian ports. Tuesday, April 14.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose by nearly 1 percent to close at 619.74 points, with broad gains across most major exchanges.

The French CAC 40 index climbed 1.12 percent to close at 8,327.86 points.

The German DAX index gained 1.23 percent to close at 24,034.29 points.

Meanwhile, the British FTSE 100 index rose 0.25 percent to close at 10,609.06 points.(QNA)
