Doha, September 13 (QNA) - Qatar Stars League leader Al Sadd SC has announced the signing of Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, formerly of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, to strengthen its squad for the new season.

The club said on its official website that Brozovic's arrival is part of efforts to bolster the first-team squad ahead of a busy schedule of domestic and continental competitions.

Brozovic left Al Nassr at the end of last season after spending three years with the Saudi club. He brings extensive European and international experience to Al Sadd, having previously represented Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb and Italian giants Inter Milan before moving to Al Nassr in the summer of 2023.

During his time with Al Nassr, Brozovic made 124 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing 23 assists. He also helped the club win the Saudi Pro League title last season.

The 33-year-old midfielder is expected to add significant experience and quality to an Al Sadd side that has made a perfect start to the current Doha Bank Stars League campaign. (QNA)
