Iraqi PM, UN Official Discuss Regional Developments
Baghdad, September 13 (QNA) - Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani met in Baghdad on Saturday with Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mohamed Al Hassan, to discuss the developments in the region.
Both sides addressed the repercussions of the persistent aggression against the Gaza Strip, denying the flow of humanitarian aid into the enclave, and the threat they pose to regional and global security through the attempts of the Israeli entity to expand the cycle of war, in addition to targeting Arab and Islamic nations, the last one being the sisterly State of Qatar.
Al Sudani stressed, during the meeting, the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in supporting the region's stability and spare it further wars and crises.
He underscored the importance of cementing communications and dialogues on the regional and global stages to find solutions for disputes and crises. (QNA)
