Doha, September 13 (QNA) - Qatar Museums hosts on Wednesday Magnificent Century, The Exhibition, Special Edition: Harem Al Sultan at QM Gallery, Building 10, Katara as part of the Qatar Turkey 2015 Year of Culture's events.

The Magnificent Century series has become a television legend, a historical soap opera on the life of the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent that has now been watched by 300 million viewers in 54 countries.

This unique exhibition brings the costumes, sets and ambiance of the series to Doha, revealing the stories behind the life of the Turkish conqueror and his love for the humble and beautiful Hurrem Sultan.

From September 2015 to January 2016, Qatar Museums, under the patronage of Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al -Thani, will be kicking off a new season of openings showcasing the best from Qatar’s cultural scene. From a prestigious exhibition by a renowned international artist to photography exhibitions and bazaars, there is something to suit every mood.

Exhibition visitors will be transported back to the glorious world of Suleiman the Magnificent and see the artistry and craftsmanship that went into creating the iconic props and decors of the series. (QNA)
