New York, August 12 (QNA) The Sultanate of Oman and the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis signed a joint statement in New York establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The statement was signed by Oman's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Omar bin Saif Al Kathiri and the Permanent Representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis Mutryce Williams.

Oman's representative expressed his country's welcoming of this step, which reflects the mutual interest of both governments in establishing diplomatic ties as a foundation for enhanced dialogue and broader cooperation that serves the interests of both nations and their peoples.

For her part, the Permanent Representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis expressed her country's eagerness to advance bilateral relations between the two countries. (QNA)
