Doha, July 13 (QNA) - The Qatar Amateur Radio Society (QARS) announced its participation in the international competition known worldwide as the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) Championship 2025.

Secretary of QARS Sabaan Mismar Al Jassim said that the QARS has participated in the championship every year, as it is one of the member societies of the IARU.

Al Jassim said that through international participation, the QARS aims to highlight Qatar's reputation globally as one of the most supportive countries for amateur radio in the region. It also aims to encourage association members to participate in international activities and achieve advanced positions at the global, continental, and local levels.

This event also connects association members with all amateurs around the world, and provides an opportunity for new members to participate and gain experience through international participation.

He pointed out that the aim of the participation is to contact the largest possible number of licensed amateurs, especially the headquarters of the IARU's member community around the world.

The championship awards a certificate for the highest scoring position in each category in each region of the IARU, as well as a certificate of participation for each station of the IARU and each station affiliated with the Board of Directors and the Regional Executive Committee, in addition to granting numerous prizes to participants.
