QSE Index Opens Lower
Doha, June 11 (QNA) - The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 24.82 points, or 0.24%, at the start of Thursday's trading, down to 10,264 points compared to the previous session's close, under pressure from five sectors.
The market was weighed down by the Insurance sector by 0.01%, Real Estate (-0.06%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.29%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.56%), and Telecoms (-0.74%). On the other hand, performance was positive for Industrials (+0.50%) and Transportation (+0.23%).
At 10:00 a.m., QSE recorded 3,410 transactions worth QR 1.043 billion, distributed across 22.147 million shares. (QNA)
The increase in trading value is due to the completion of two transactions in the debt instruments market, worth QR 993.850 million.
