Israeli Occupation Forces Advance to Quneitra's Countryside
Damascus, May 11 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation forces advanced into the buffer zone between Israel and Syria on Monday, installing barbed wire in a location west of the village of Alashah in the southern countryside of Quneitra in southern Syria.
Moreover, another Israeli force consisting of several military vehicles entered the town of Jabata Al Khashab and established a checkpoint at its entrance, stopping passersby, something that increased tensions in the area, with no arrests reported.
Israeli forces continue to carry out incursions, raids, arrests, and land bulldozing operations in southern Syria, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, deeming Israeli measures in southern Syria as null and void, carrying no legal effect. (QNA)
