Premier League: Arsenal Beat Leeds United 2-1
London, October 10 (QNA) - Arsenal defeated visiting Leeds United 2-1 in today's opening match of Matchweek 6 in the English Premier League.
Leeds United took the lead through James Justin in the 55th minute. Riccardo Calafiori equalized for Arsenal in the 62nd minute before teammate Bruno Guimarães scored the winner eight minutes later.
Defending champions Arsenal moved to 15 points, climbing to second in the standings and drawing level with league leaders Manchester City, who remain ahead on goal difference. Leeds United stayed on nine points, provisionally in fifth place pending the remaining fixtures in the round.
Later today, Aston Villa face Brentford, Chelsea play Bournemouth, Ipswich Town take on Fulham, Sunderland meet Brighton, and Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspur.
