Doha, September 10 (QNA) - Al Sailiya SC announced on Wednesday the signing of Dutch player Anwar El Ghazi from Cardiff City on a two-year contract.

In a statement, the club said that El Ghazi will join Al Sailiya's squad starting this season through 2027.

El Ghazi previously played for several European clubs, most notably Ajax Amsterdam (2014–2017), France's Lille (2017–2019), and English sides Aston Villa and Everton until 2022, before moving to PSV Eindhoven and then to Cardiff City in the English Football League (EFL) Championship last season.

Al Sailiya aims to recover from its poor start in the first three rounds of the Qatar Stars League (Doha Bank Stars League), where it failed to earn any points and currently sits in 11th place. (QNA)
