Baghdad, April 10 (QNA) - Iraqi Airways has announced the resumption of its flights after a temporary suspension, according to a statement.

The national carrier said it would resume operations as of Friday, April 10, as part of its plan to reorganize domestic and international air traffic and make travel possible via its fleet after completing the necessary technical and operational requirements.

The first phase will include domestic flights connecting Baghdad with the governorates of Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, and Basra, as well as a number of flights to international destinations including Istanbul, Cairo, and Amman, according to a structured operational schedule that takes into account the smooth flow of air traffic and travel demand.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Transport announced the full reopening of Iraqi airspace to air traffic. (QNA)
