Doha, April 01 (QNA) - Qatar University confirmed it is continuing to implement measures to strengthen preparedness, in line with directives from the Ministry of Interior and relevant authorities, aimed at enhancing safety and readiness across educational facilities.

In a statement, Qatar University said Wednesday it has heightened preparedness, activated preventive measures, and strengthened its internal response system in line with official guidance, while issuing campus safety and security guidelines for emergency and exceptional situations.

Qatar University said the guidelines aim to standardize response procedures, raise awareness, reassure the university community, and enhance emergency readiness, while activating internal communication channels to deliver timely, accurate updates and reinforce transparency and trust.

Qatar University has launched a dedicated webpage for exceptional circumstances, providing centralized information, safety guidelines, emergency contacts, FAQs, and continuous updates to ensure easy access to verified information and curb misinformation.

Qatar University said it has expanded field measures by boosting campus preparedness, coordinating with relevant entities, and conducting evacuation and shelter drills, alongside awareness workshops and training programs to strengthen readiness.

The university also held a safety workshop attended by senior officials, including Muna Al Marzouqi, Mai Al Naemi, and Mohammed Elshafie, to promote preventive measures and emergency response procedures.

QU affirmed these efforts are ongoing and evolving, while reinforcing business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted academic, administrative, and research operations.

It stressed that community safety remains a top priority, with continued monitoring, updates, and expanded training aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030. (QNA)
