4.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo, December 03 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tuesday the city of Punta Cana, eastern Dominican Republic.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 3.5 km, with no reports of human losses or material damage so far.
The Dominican Republic is prone to natural disasters, including drought, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, landslides, severe temperature fluctuations, and tsunamis. (QNA)
