Doha, October 22 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index closed on Monday higher by 236.81 points, or 2.75 percent, to end at 8,852.29.

Trading volume reached 230,407,157 shares, with turnover totaling QAR 556,222,693.174 through 36,782 transactions across all sectors.

The shares of 47 companies advanced during the session, and those of six others declined, while one company kept its previous closing prices unchanged.

Market capitalization stood at QAR 540,983,450,458.510 at the close of trading, up from QAR 526,080,751.530 in the previous session. (QNA)
